Nathan Guan
Website Lead
Nathan is a junior at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Washington and is serving as the Website Lead. Being neurodiverse, he was introduced to a friend’s nonprofit (SN Inclusion) and created a chapter in his local area. Later, he decided to create his own nonprofit called ND Empowerment which hopes to assist people with neurodiversity. He is also attending the 2023-SNP Reach. Using his interests in computer science, he has created several apps to improve the quality of life for neurodiverse individuals. Outside of his neurodiversity work, Nathan enjoys fencing, coding, video games, spending time with friends and family, and playing with his dogs.
Peter Jiang

Peter Jiang is a high school student from California. He currently serves as a member of the SNP NNEA core committee, where he helps with the development of the NNEA website. He strongly believes that all neurodivergent individuals should have the same opportunities as those who are neurotypical. Peter joined NNEA to help raise awareness regarding neurodiversity and is glad to be part of the core committee this year.
Nyshita Chalasani

Nyshita is a Rising Junior at Mission San Jose High school in Fremont, California. She serves on NNEA's Website Subcommittee. Nyshita volunteers to help tutor Neurodiverse individuals in computer science, English, and spanish. She also is part of a neurodiversity club at her high school and loves to help spread awareness about neurodiversity throughout her community. In her freetime, Nyshita enjoys playing the violin, literature, and music.
Kate Kuan

Kate is a high school senior in Northern California. Before joining the NNEA Core Committee this year, she co-founded her school’s Neurodiversity Affinity Group for herself and fellow ND classmates to find support and acceptance. She is excited to be on the NNEA Website subcommittee and looks forward to working with neurodiversity advocates at other schools. As part of NNEA, she hopes to help enhance the website as a central resource for ND students. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery novels, being involved in musical theater, and watching sitcoms.
Neil Chandran

Neil Chandran is a junior at Monte Vista High School in Danville California. He serves on NNEA's Website Subcommittee. His interest in neurodiversity stemmed from teaching tennis to children with autism. Seeing the limited number of athletic programs available for neurodiverse kids, he started a tennis program in the East Bay mentoring children with autism. Neil has worked on various neurodiverse research programs including a project on the development of an independent living and self-care based virtual reality game for adults with ASD. He found it interesting to learn more about virtual environments to treat neurological disorders. Neil would like to continue working to develop assistive technologies for neurodiverse people to have a better quality of life.In his free time, Neil enjoys jamming on his guitar and playing tennis.
